Position Summary:

The Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care (PCA), is responsible for providing basic care and support to patients in their homes. This includes helping with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and toileting, as well as providing companionship and running errands. The HHA will work under the supervision of a Healthcare Professional/Clinical Nurse Director, and will report any changes in the patient's condition to the appropriate staff.

 

Reporting Requirement:

To Clinical Nurse Director. The CNA / HHA / PCA will work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse Director and will report any changes in the patient's condition.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with ADLs, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.

  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding, as needed.

  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and cleaning.

  • Assist/Help patients with mobility, including transferring to and from bed or chair, and physical therapies/exercises.

  • Transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital.

  • Provide companionship and engage in activities with the patient.

  • Administer medication as directed by the patient's healthcare provider.

  • Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc), collect routine specimens, along with reporting any changes in the patient's condition or needs to the appropriate staff.

  • Follow the patient's Plan of Care and document the care provided.

  • Maintain patients care records and document provided services.

  • Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise.

Requirements:

  • Six months or more of full-time clinical experience (preferred).

  • Current CNA / HHA / PCA certification.

  • BLS/CPR training with card for verification.

  • PPD / TB test.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Physical ability to lift and move patients, as needed. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred).

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time or full-time position or prn, with hours varying depending on the needs of the patient.

The CNA / HHA / PCA may work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The CNA / HHA / PCA will work in the patient's home, and may be required to travel to different locations within the service area.

Compensation:

The CNA / HHA / PCA will be paid an hourly wage, with the rate depending on experience and location.

 

Job Types:

Part-time, Full-time, PRN.

 

Pay:

From $14.00 - $18.00 per hour.
